Cancelling before we post
You can cancel any order at no cost until we hand it to the courier. Email us with your order number and we will refund the full amount, including shipping.
Once a parcel has been dispatched it cannot be cancelled — but it can still be returned under the sections below.
If something is wrong with your order
Tell us within 7 days of delivery and we will replace the book or refund you in full, whichever you prefer. We pay the return postage.
This covers a book that arrives damaged, a book that is not the one you ordered, a copy with printing or binding faults, and a parcel that is missing an item.
- Damaged in transit
- Wrong title sent
- Printing or binding defect
- An item missing from the parcel
If you simply changed your mind
Return any book within 7 days of delivery, unread and in the condition it arrived, and we will refund the price of the book.
Return postage is yours in this case, and the original shipping charge is not refunded. Please pack it well — a book damaged on its way back to us cannot be refunded in full.
How to ask for a refund
Email orders@raasthalpublicationllp.com with your order number, what went wrong, and a photograph if the book is damaged.
We answer every email within two working days. If a return is needed we will tell you where to send it before you post anything.
How and when you get your money
Refunds go back to the card, UPI or account you paid from. We cannot refund to a different method — that is a rule of the payment system, not ours.
We start the refund within 2 working days of approving it. Your bank then takes its own time: usually 5 to 7 working days, sometimes longer for international cards.
eBooks and audiobooks
Digital editions bought through Amazon, Kindle, Google Books or Audible are sold by those shops, not by us. Their refund policy applies and their support can help you faster than we can.
We only handle refunds for printed books bought directly from this website.
Parcels that never arrive
If tracking shows no movement for 10 days, or the courier marks a parcel delivered that you never received, tell us. We will raise it with the courier and send a replacement or refund you — we do not leave you to argue with the courier yourself.
Please check with neighbours and your building's reception first. It is where most missing parcels turn out to be.
