About
Who we are
We are a family-owned publishing house, and we started the way most of our authors start — self-publishing books written by our own family. We learned this trade from your side of it first.
Our vision
A world where a life worth living is a story worth publishing.
We carry Indian experience out to readers everywhere — and we mean to give every storyteller on earth, whatever trade they came from, a real route to print, to audio, and to screen.
Our mission
A farmer has a life worth reading. So does a doctor, a lawyer, a mother, a father, a teacher. A philosopher has something to preach and a craftsman has something to teach.
What they are missing was never the story. It is the machinery — the editing, the ISBN, the typesetting, the cover, the narration, the distribution, the thousand small commercial decisions that stand between a manuscript and a book somebody can actually buy.
Raasthal is that machinery. We produce, publish and market, in print and in audio and on screen, so the person with something to say can stay on the side of the work they love. You create. We turn it into a product the world can find and buy.
Not only for writers
If you write, we give your book global reach in print and in audio.
If you create — video, art, courses, study material, film — we produce it, publish it and market it. We take on the whole business of making a commercial product out of it, so you can stay with the creative work.
Why us
Why Raasthal
We have been where you are
We know the hard parts are not the writing. They are the quote that arrives with no explanation, the proof that comes back wrong twice, and not knowing whether 80 GSM natural shade is right for your book.
Production people, not middlemen
We have a team that turns creative work into a manufactured product — print in every format, digital in every format — and does it in-house.
Someone whose job is finding your readers
Making the book is half of it. We position and market it once it exists, because a book nobody hears about is a manuscript with a cover on it.
You keep the part you love
You create. We take the rest — the files, the fees, the forms, the freight and the follow-up.
Languages
We publish today in English, Hindi and Telugu. We are building towards every Indian language, and then the major languages of the world — because a story told in Telugu deserves a reader in Toronto just as much as one told in English.
