Sahithi Ambula
Stories shape who we become.
- Hyderabad, Telangana
- Writes in English
Sahithi Ambula grew up in Mancherial, a town in northern Telangana, listening to Panchatantra stories told by her mother. Those evening stories, where every tale carried a lesson, became an early influence on the way she understood people, values, and the power of storytelling.
Her love for stories continued through her teenage years, when Telugu and Hindi television serials sparked her fascination with the emotions and relationships hidden within ordinary lives. She believes that some of the most meaningful stories are found in the simple moments between people — the things they say, the things they leave unsaid, and the feelings that remain long after.
Sahithi holds an M.Sc. in Biotechnology and is a mother of two. Her writing brings together her love for storytelling and her interest in the values, emotions, and experiences that shape us.
Her first book, Forest Friends of the Banyan Tree, brings timeless wisdom to young readers through thirteen engaging tales inspired by traditional fables while exploring themes relevant to children today. Surabhi marks her first novel for adults, taking her storytelling in a different direction and exploring emotions, relationships, and the questions that life sometimes leaves unanswered.
Sahithi lives in Hyderabad with her family. When she is not writing, she enjoys spending time with children and discovering the stories hidden in everyday life.
Stories shape who we become. I hope my stories leave readers with something to carry with them long after the final page.
